Lost and Found
This rotation unit focuses on the parables of the lost sheep, the lost coin, and the forgiving father. Jesus teaches us that God’s love is always there for us, no matter where we go or what we do. The children will hear these stories every week and will experience the stories in many ways. These stories are about God’s joy when the lost is found.
Our Bible reference is Luke 15. "There is more happiness in heaven because of one sinner who turns to God than over ninety-nine good people who don’t need to." (Luke 15:7, CEV)
Please help you child learn this verse and come to Sunday School each week to experience these parables.
Our current rotation unit is “Teach Us How to Pray”. The children will learn that prayer is talking with God. We will learn that there are many ways to talk with God and many different kinds of prayer. Jesus taught his disciples to pray and gave them an example which is the Lord’s Prayer. Please help your child learn this prayer.
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come,
thy will be done on earth,
as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
and the power,
and the glory forever.
