Volunteers from our Church spent two Saturdays in  August  repairing the mobile home  of  a  single mother on the east side of Willis.  The was the first local mission project planned by the Outreach Committee.  The mobile home had been damaged by a tree falling on the back side of it and the elements had taken their toll on the home.  On Saturday, August 9, the volunteers replaced the siding with Hardy Plank and  insulation and rebuilt the back steps.  Volunteers with paint brushes in hand finished the job on August 16.   Because this was a local mission project, more members of our Church were able to participate and experience the satisfaction of helping someone in need.
