Additional Volunteers are needed to help at the TLC Food Pantry on Tuesdays!

TLC Food Pantry is in desperate need of non-perishable food items.  Each month, TLC serves about 115 families, so please be generous.  There will be a basket at the nametag table on Sundays so you can place the food items in it as you pick up your name tag.

If each person will donate one item every Sunday, 25 families can be fed each week.  Approximately ten congregations in the Willis area donate funds and food monthly, but the need exceeds the supply.

The TLC Food Pantry is sponsored and or manned daily by various congregations in the community.  Tuesday is “Methodist Day.”  We average 8 volunteers from our congregation and one from Thomas Chapel UMC.  TLC is truly a rewarding outreach of our congregation.  We not only provide food, but we frequently pray with our clients, or offer referral information for education and social services.  Several of our clients have joined our congregation to worship with us. If you know of any person in the 77378 or 77318 zip codes that is in need of food, please refer them to TLC.

Canned or fresh meats (one pound or less portions)

Small bags of flour, cornmeal or baking mixes

Baby foods and formula

Toilet paper

Diapers (any size)

Oral hygiene items

Bath soap, shampoo

Deodorant

Laundry Detergent (we divide into coffee cans)

Dish washing liquid (small sizes)

1 pound empty coffee containers are needed at this time.
